Details and information from Nintendo’s annual general shareholder meeting has recently surfaced on the internet. New information regarding old (some would say forgotten) Nintendo IP’s have been revealed.
It has been reported that a Shareholder asked Nintendo directly if there were any plans to revive certain franchises.

Several games were included in the question. F-Zero, Baten Kaitos and Wario Land to name a few.
Even Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru, better known as The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls, was mentioned. This game has some strange links to the Zelda series and hasn’t seen a release since the Gameboy era.
However, despite the minutes from the meeting being published, it seems only the F-Zero game remains included… A potential reminder than Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about the franchise after all.

F-Zero fans suggest this detail may hint Nintendo are indeed working on a new F-Zero title. Highlighting this is why the franchise was included in the information released.
