Splatoon fans are another week closer to the release of Splatoon 3, and after having only just revealed the new Angle Shooter Sub Weapon, the Squid Research Lab have returned to announce even more details for fans of the franchise.
Once again the Splatoon Team took to Social Media to reveal the next batch of weapons players will be able to equip when Splatoon 3 releases on September 9th.
After previously revealing Shooters and Chargers, the Squid Research Lab have moved onto Rollers.
Squid Research Lab here, rolling out a report on rollers! These versatile weapons can lay down a wide path of ink on the ground or fling it forward for a more traditional attack. The first Roller the Splatoon Team revealed was the Splat Roller. Similar to its Shooter and Charger counter parts it is the easiest to use from the Roller category.
Despite it being a great weapon for beginners, it’s suitable for any players. According to the Squid Research Lab who are sharing this information, this is especially true if you can master both the horizontal and vertical swings!
The next Roller revealed was the Dynamo Roller, which is often the weapon of choice for more advanced players. This is more or less an upgraded Splat Roller.
The Dynamo Roller is much slower than other Rollers but offers more Inkpower, meaning it can cover larger areas with ink if used efficiently.
Its expected players will have to be tactical when using this Roller though, as it likely uses more ink than expected!
Given how the Splatoon Team is announcing these details, and Splatoon 3 is remained in development, many of the ranges and stats of these newly revealed weapons are still unknown.
Further more, and despite many of the Weapons announced in the last couple of weeks being very similar to their Splatoon 2 counterparts, they’ve also been upgraded to Splatlands specifications.
Therefore stats will likely change for all returning Shooters, Chargers and Rollers.
Although only 2 Rollers have been announced for Splatoon 3 to date, it’s expects many more will follow in the coming weeks, leading up-to the release.
With Fall Guys Battle Royale soon coming to Nintendo Switch, and many other games adopting this genre, could we see a Splatoon 3 Battle Royale mode when the game releases?
