With Splatoon 3 fast approaching, the Squid Research Lab have taken to Social Media to reveal the next wave of Weapons. This week the Splatoon team announced upgraded versions of some heavy-duty Splatlings!
The first preview available highlights the fresh look for the classic Hydra Splatling!
This beast of weapon uses compressed air to blast ink! According to the Squid Research Lab, it takes some time to charge, but offers an impressive inksplosion.
The second preview available showcases the Heavy Splatling. This is an upgraded version, built to Splatlands specifications, and provides users with a sizeable tank.
The Heavy Splatling is easier to refill, but mobility is low.
Speaking of heavy, how about the Heavy Splatling? The new model offers a frame to support the tank and valves, making it easier to refill. Because you know how expensive printer ink is, right? Well, this ink costs—Whoa. I don’t actually know how much. I smell a research grant! pic.twitter.com/cx0Q68P0x6

Both of these Splatoon 3 Weapons offer tactical advantages! Splatlings are likely for players who prefer Swimming to Shooting.
These heavy-duty Splatlings will return alongside all Basic Weapons returning to the franchise.
Splatoon 3 is set to release September 9th 2022.
Will you be choosing either of these at launch? Share your thoughts in the comments.
