Pokémon HOME, the cloud service for Nintendo Platforms and compatible Smartphones has just received a pretty sizeable update!
The latest update to Pokémon HOME, revealed by Nintendo and bringing the application to version 2.0, adds further compatibility for the latest generation of Pokemon games, including the most recent release Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Pokémon Home is a storage service that allows Trainers to transfer their Poké-pals to the cloud for safe keeping.
The mechanic also offers a method of transferring your Pokémon between compatible Pokémon games.
Essentially allowing you to bring Pokémon all the way from the original titles, through Pokémon Bank and into Pokémon HOME.
Prior to its update, Pokémon HOME wasn’t fully compatible with all of the Nintendo Switch versions of Pokémon.
However, version 2.0 adds Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl compatibility along with past games, including Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield and Pokémon: Let’s Go on Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Go on Mobile Devices can also be linked to the cloud service.
A new #PokemonHOME update, adding the ability to link #PokemonLegendsArceus, #PokemonBrilliantDiamond, and #PokemonShiningPearl, is available now! 🏠

The official Pokémon website offers a short example:
For example, you will be able to take a Pikachu that you caught in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield into Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, or Pokémon Shining Pearl.
Please note that transferring Pokémon to a game they were not originally caught in may cause certain changes to known moves, level, and what type of Poké Ball they were caught in.
Until version 2.0 Pokémon HOME only used the National Pokédex, however with the addition of the latest generation of Pokémon games, the Pokédex from each game will also be added.
This means Pokémon stored in the “boxes” in Pokémon HOME will now be registered to their respective Pokédex, from the game they originate.
Unfortunately this change means any Pokémon that have been traded away will not be registered.
With Pokémon HOME now compatible with all Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch will you be using it?
Are you happy to see this update? And do you use this service to store your monsters?
